floor deck initial attempt
A chat with HeliPro confirmed that keeping things under 650kg per lift allows us to keep within council regs: you need special authority to lift heavier things.
So no problemo: I now am onto another assembly approach whereby I drop in the edge-beam / transverse beams in a single load (making two lifts to bed-in both primary support frames, with the in-fill deck-only components following in the next 2 chopper lifts.) Roughly. I’ve gotta model them up first.
Braindump overview of meeting with Helipro representative (he’s sending something by email as well:)
- $2,000 per hour, half-hour minimum.
- The average house (foundations and all) is normally done in 3 to 5 hours.
- Average hover time as the element is guided into place is 5min
- The more organised your site / lift area is, the cheaper it is.
- High-precision drops are no problem (10 or 20mm tolerance)- they just take a little longer / need more helping hands.
Tomorrow I’m chatting to some structural engineers. Lets hope we like eachother!
