The final design is shown in sketch form (I’m showing the lo-res proxy model at the moment – it’s most appropriate for viewers trying to get an understanding of the building’s 3d massing / location relative to the slope. I also have a high res (detailed) version, and I plan to show the bits in a structured process, as alluded to in an earlier post). I’ve also added the beginnings of a common nomenclature diagram to the bottom of each drawing in the current design documentation section – it’ll help users orienting themselves in many of my future posts.

My plan is to make this blog more of an information resource than it has been. Its been useful as a place to find all kinds of information relevant to the project, but not quite at the level that I’m after – I have a whole lot of stuff that is either sketched / 3d-modelled / still-in-my-head, and I want a place to store it all. Even more importantly, I want to be able to find it again!

In future posts you’ll start noticing the nomenclature categories coming into play – the structure is not as flexible as I would like, but I need to start somewhere!).

Still to do before I start uploading the brain-dump:

  • update the “project in a nutshell” page done.
  • work out how to improve the blog main page – its starting to look a little dull now that I no longer have been putting little thumbnail graphics into the excerpt field…
  • add mechanisms whereby the viewer can navigate the site categories / nomenclature

I must admit, I’m starting to enjoy Textpattern. It was a bit of a head-fuck to start with, but I’m now starting to appreciate its flexibility.
