Labelous
My latest thing of not documenting all design decisions and thoughts on A4 drawings has it's advantages (far less work) — but we're still left with the issue of how to pigeon hole and describe all the various design problems, and their various solutions.
The new regime
Document, dammit. Sod the pretty pictures (see previous post).
Why the big change of approach?
Enough.
This has been getting silly…
Slack, then bang.
Things on this blog have slipped of late. I’ve been busy on web design stuff, giving the architectural grey matter a break. Always a good idea.
work in progress 23jan05
The Detail Design Phase: some hate it — I lub it.
On steps and stairs
We've had some comments about the number of stairs throughout the project. Its a tough one…
the gizUlor
The design is largely governed by the gizUlor (our variant on Le Corbusier's Modulor, a scale of dimensions based on the human form and tied in with the Golden Mean / Fibonacci series et al).
I must get round to writing about it for this ‘blog, but there details to be detailed (and money to earn).
Up(your)date
Its been a bit of a slog, but general scheme design is finished (and most of it has been entered in this blog).
an apology to windows IE users
M$ Internet Explorer users: apologies for the wonky layout. I’m working on a fix.
SssNot funny: I am yet to design a web-page that works first time in IE – it always gets something wrong that requires a kludge to fix (MS is not standards compliant, as much as their marketing tossers might tell us). Grrrr.
A sneak peek at my immediate to-do list
1. Finish the studio2 web-log (if things are going screwy for you, dear reader, its ‘cos I’m working on the bits that constitute this site… please be patient and reload the page).
2. continues…
