You might notice that its been a fair while since my last post. The Raroa Road site is on hold, accruing value in Wellington’s burgeoning property market. A new project has taken all my focus and time: studio2 at Korokoro.

My 10 days in Singapore and Cape Town (and an extended break from the design) has led to new variations on old themes…

*Ouch. it’s been a while*… I’ve been busy on bread-and-butter issues, new websites for Hanover Group Australia and Hill Thalis Architecture + Urban Projects Ltd, and a sorely needed upgrade to our old arteDomus site. Phew. None-the-less, things are progressing on the project, albeit slowly…
cheaper and cheaper
It looks like I’m starting to get the hang of this: after the (n)teenth design model over the past year or so, I seem to have found myself (surprise-surprise) with a conglomerate of all the previous designs, all rolled into something that promises to be very affordable (and flexible)

we're moving again
Now that we know just how long its going to take to get this thing built (given the local building boom, available builders and our budget), we need to move out of the (naaaaaasty) dump we’ve been renting (long story as to why we chose to live in a dump in the first place – read back a year or so)…
Access lift
The access bridge seems like an ideal place to start this documenting thing. It seems quite innocent, until you start unpacking what it has to do (I have always been a sucker for multi-purpose componentry):
