1968-71 Village Expansion: Bembridge, Isle of White

Bembridge is a village by the sea, on the East coast of the Isle of White and this project envisaged the development of 33 houses on a 4.4 hectare site around Hill Grove House. It was decided to build two story houses, in groups of thee to ten around the site, leaving generous communal open space in the middle.

The first group were designed as a mixed development of 3 and 4 bedroom houses, most having patios that led onto the communal space and access across shared driveways from the road.
